Dollar edges down on Tuesday morning
MOSCOW. May 29. (Interfax) - The dollar opened Tuesday's trade with minor losses, while the ruble edged up against the bi-currency basket, spurred by a slight improvement in moods on global markets.
The dollar averaged at 32.09 rubles/$1 on Tuesday morning, 1 kopeck below yesterday's closing value but 26 above the current official exchange rate.
The euro was around 40.2-40.22 rubles/EUR1, 6-8 kopecks below yesterday's close but 8-10 kopecks above the official exchange rate.
The bi-currency basket ($0.55 and EUR0.45) came to 35.75 rubles, 3 kopecks below yesterday's closing value.
