MOSCOW. June 4 (Interfax) - Oil company Rosneft's total investment in the Komsomolsk Oil Refinery came to 5.69 billion rubles in 2011, the company said in a financial report.

By the end of 2011, the construction of a delayed coking unit with 1 million tonnes in capacity was completed, which boosted the refinery's conversion ratio from 60.3% to 75%. In addition, gasoline and diesel fuel output increased by 150,000 tonnes and 300,000 tonnes a year, respectively. Furthermore, the production of petroleum coke commenced at the Komsomolsk Oil Refinery.

During the year, work was also underway in the final stage for the reconstruction of the refinery's catalytic reforming unit with capacity at 450,000 tonnes. This project should be completed in 2012. The implementation of this project will help the refinery move to gasoline production, which comes in line with Class 3 and 5 environmental standards, Rosneft said.

Total oil refining at the facility came to 7.62 million tonnes in 2011, down 1.8% from 2010. Production of petroleum goods came to 7.42 million tonnes.
