Russia's RU-Energy Group proposes oilfield services JV in Azerbaijan
BAKU. June 4 (Interfax) - OJSC RU-Energy Group might set up an oilfield services joint venture with an Azerbaijani partner, and acquire hydrocarbon properties, the Russian company's senior vice president, Abdul Lezgiyev said at a press conference on Monday.
"We are open to all forms of cooperation, including the creation of joint ventures in oilfield services, acquisition of license properties for production, as well as continuing our cooperation in the area of supplying oil and gas equipment," Lezgiyev said.
He said the company's strategic goal in Azerbaijan is to become a leading supplier of oil and gas equipment.
RU-Energy Group includes OJSC Nefteprommash in Tyumen (production of oil and gas equipment), LLC Drilling Services Company, LLC Transport Services Company (well repair), LLC YamalServiceCenter (major repairs of oil and gas field equipment), LLC RU-Energy KRS-MG (well drilling and major repairs), and LLC KRS-Service (major and current well repairs, boosting oil recovery rates).
