Medvedev creates department on Open Government formation
MOSCOW. June 6 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has signed a decree on the department for the formation of the Open Government system in the Russian government administration.
The text of the decree, which is dated June 4, was posted in the database of the Cabinet regulations.
According to earlier reports, Medvedev announced the creation of a new department in charge of interaction with the Open Government in the Cabinet administration during a meeting with a group in charge of the formation of the government expert council on May 22. Medvedev recalled the decision to create a governmental commission on the coordination of the work of the Open Government, which will be chaired by Minister Mikhail Abyzov.
"I will create an appropriate department in the government administration so that this structure has a foundation for work," Medvedev said.
