Opposition will combine two events in Moscow on June 12 if allowed within Garden Ring
MOSCOW. June 6 (Interfax) - The organizers of two opposition rallies to be held in Moscow on June 12 said they could combine them into one, if the city authorities give their nod to holding them together within the Garden Ring, followed by a march by all means.
"The organizing committee has supported our position, announced during talks with Moscow officials. Holding the march and rally within the Garden Ring is priority for us, except the rally on Bolotnaya Square," Left Front leader Sergei Udaltsov told Interfax on Wednesday.
"We will insist on this. We will be trying to persuade the city authorities accept one of the options," he said.
Organizer of a rally on the issue of a Moscow referendum Nikolai Belyayev said the organizers of both events agree to combine them if the Moscow authorities accept the terms named by Udaltsov.
