Kyrgyz president invites other SCO leaders to 2013 summit in Bishkek
BEIJING. June 7 (Interfax) - Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev has invited his counterparts from the other member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization to the next SCO summit in Bishkek in 2013.
Kyrgyzstan is due to take over the SCO chairmanship from China after the Beijing summit.
"In September Kyrgyzstan will be ready to host a session of the SCO prime ministers. We will hold a SCO summit in 2013. I invite the heads of state to Bishkek next year," Atambayev said.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Hu Jintao wished Kyrgyzstan success and pledged their comprehensive support for the Kyrgyz government.
