Russia to harvest 92-94 mln tonnes grain in 2012, export 22-23 mln tonnes - ministry

GELENDZHIK. June 7 (Interfax) - Russia will gather in 92-94 million tonnes of grain this year and export 22-23 million tonnes, the director of the Economic Development Ministry department for economic sector development, Lyudmila Tyazhelnikova, said at the 13th international grain forum in Gelendzhik on Thursday.

Russia harvested 94.2 million tonnes of grain in 2011.

Tyazhelnikova said that this year agricultural output stagnation is expected "in association with the high baseline of last year." Agricultural output expanded 21.1% last year, she said, so that this year an index of 99%-100% compared with 2011 is predicted.
