Russia hopes for success of Moscow meeting between Group of Six and Iran
MOSCOW. June 7 (Interfax) - Russia hopes to see constructive dialogue at Moscow's meeting between the Group of Six world powers (the UN Security Council's five permanent members plus Germany) and Iran on June 18-19, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said.
"We hope that all delegations involved in the negotiating process will come to Moscow determined to have a constructive dialogue, which would help ensure positive results and further steps to resolve current disagreements and gradually bridge the gap between the positions," he said at a press briefing in Moscow on Thursday.
Moscow's position is that all issues surrounding the Iranian nuclear program should be resolved by mutual political and diplomatic methods in a step-by-step manner, he said.
