Lithuanian gas trader Dujotekana sees net profit fall 4.5% in 2011
VILNIUS. June 7. (Interfax) - Lithuanian gas importer Dujotekana posted net profit of 9.775 million litas (2.831 million euro) in 2011, or 4.5% less than in 2010, the company said in its audited financial statement.
Sales revenue, meanwhile, climbed 16.8% to 571.073 million litas.
Dujotekana cut imports of gas into Lithuania by 5.1% last year to 508.4 million cubic meters. This year, the company plans to import and sell about 518 million cu m.
The gas importer occupied a roughly 26% share of the Lithuanian natural gas market in 2011.
By the end of last year, 40.1% of Dujotekana's stock belonged to its Vice President Piotras Vojeika, 33.6% belonged to the company's former chief Rimandas Stonys, and 6.8% belonged to its President Vladimir Orekhov.
The litas is pegged to the euro at 3.4528 litas/1EUR.
