Oil exports from Russia to non-CIS drop 5.5% in 4M
MOSCOW. June 9 (Interfax) - Oil exports from Russia to countries outside the Commonwealth of Independent States decreased 5.5% year-on-year to 68.004 million tonnes in the first four months of this year, the Federal Customs Service (FCS) said.
Actual physical oil-product exports increased 1.8% during the four months, including a 14.8% increase for liquid fuels, but a 44.0% drop for automotive gasoline and a 10.7% decrease for diesel fuel.
The value of the fuel and energy products exported to non-CIS countries during the period increased 14.5% year-on-year.
FCS data show that this group of products represented 73.6% of all exports to non-CIS countries in January-April (73.8% in January-April 2011).
Physical oil exports to countries in the CIS increased 20.3% year-on-year to 9.929 million tonnes. Compared with the first four months of last year, oil-product exports were up 90%, including automotive gasoline - up 150%, diesel fuel - up 90%, and liquid fuels - up 110%.
The value of the fuel and energy products exported to CIS countries during the four months increased 3.2% year-on-year. Those products represented 60.6% of total exports to those countries (58.5% in January-April 2011).
In all, Russia exported 77.933 million tonnes of oil over the four months.
The FCS reported that Russia exported 67.9 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas in January-April: 44.3 bcm to non-CIS countries (up 9.5%) and 23.6 bcm to CIS countries (down 24.7%).
