Rosinter sales revenues dip 0.6% in May
MOSCOW. June 13 (Interfax) - OJSC Rosinter Restaurants Holding saw its consolidated sales revenues slip 0.6% to 810 million rubles in May, the company said in a press release.
However, that figure was up 2.2% at 4.107 billion rubles for the period January-May.
The company reported that like-for-like gross restaurant sales revenues decreased 2.7% last month, due to a 3.6% drop in transactions, which was partially offset by an 0.9% increase in the average diner check. That number was down 1.3% for the five months.
As of end-May, the chain had 377 restaurants (including 127 franchises) versus 374 (118) at the same time last year.
The company's restaurants operate under the proprietary brands IL Patio, Planet Sushi and 1-2-3 Cafe, as well as under its licensed brands T.G.I. Friday's and Sibirskaya Corona. Rosinter is also developing the Costa Coffee chain in Russia as part of a joint venture with Whitbread Plc.
Rosinter is present in 45 cities in Russia, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and Central Europe, including the Baltic countries.
Its main owner is its founder Rostislav Ordovsky-Tanaevsky Blanco.
