OGK-1 shareholders cast Renova representative out of board of directors
MOSCOW. June 13. (Interfax) - Shareholders in wholesale generating company OJSC OGK-1 at their annual general meeting on Wednesday elected a new board of directors, casting out the representative from Renova Group, an Interfax correspondent reported from the meeting.
Renova's M&A Director Maxim Mayorets lost his seat on the board. Besides him, other nominees included IES' M&A Director Mikhail Azovtsev and IES' Deputy General Director for Corporate Management Yakov Tesis. However, they were also left out of the new board.
Six Inter RAO UES representatives managed to keep their seats on the board of directors: Inter RAO CEO Boris Kovalchuk and his advisor Anton Badenkov, head of the Corporate Relations Department Svetlana Chuchaeva, Deputy Chief Engineer and Technical Director of LLC Inter RAO Power Generation Leonid Sokolov, Strategic Development Director Yevgeny Miroshnichenko and Investment Director Valery Murgulets.
In addition, four new Inter RAO representatives were elected to the board: head of its Treasury Department Yury Shcherbakov, head of the Production Efficiency Analysis Department Olga Pankratova, Corporate Management Director Mikhail Konstantinov and deputy head of the Capital Construction and Engineering Center Igor Opalin.
A representative of another Inter RAO-controlled energy company, OJSC OGK-3 , the head of the Operational Audit Department Marina Yedakova, has also been elected to OGK-1's board.
OGK-1's shareholders also decided not to pay out dividends for 2011. The lion's share of net profit - 2.8 billion rubles - will be earmarked for investments, while 145.1 million rubles will be sent to the reserve fund. OGK-1 also paid no dividends for 2010.
OGK-1 has an installed capacity of 9.531 GW. The generating company includes the Perm, Verkhnetagilsk, Kashirsk, Urengoy and Iriklinsk State District Power Plants (GRES), as well as the Nizhnevartovsk GRES (75%). OGK-1's main shareholder is Inter RAO, which owns 75.02% of the company's charter capital.
