Whether to adopt ruble as anti-crisis measure is open question - Lukashenko
MINSK. June 14 (Interfax) - President Alexander Lukashenko is not certain that Belarus will survive a new wave of the economic crisis unless it adopts the Russian ruble.
"Whether we collapse or not, whether we survive a new crisis without Russian money or not, you know, it's an open question that we can discuss and debate," he said, meeting with Bashkortostan President Rustem Khamitov in Minsk on Thursday, the Belarusian president's press service reports.
Earlier, Russian ambassador to Belarus Alexander Surikov urged resumption of talks on a single currency.
