Putin signs decree on three terror alert levels

MOSCOW. June 16 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree titled, "Regarding the terrorist threat levels requiring additional measures to provide individual, public and national security," the Kremlin said on Saturday.

Under Article 5 of the Federal Law titled, "On counterterrorism," to ensure timely notification of the population about a threat of a terrorist threat and to organize measures to prevent such an attack, the following terrorist threat levels can be set in certain parts (facilities) of the Russian Federation: a) increased ("blue"); b) high ("yellow"); c) critical ("red").
