SIBUR to finish construction of Tobolsk-Polymer worth 64 bln rubles in Aug
TYUMEN. June 19 (Interfax) - SIBUR Holding plans to finish the construction of the Tobolsk-Polymer complex in August 2012, LLC Tobolsk-Polymer said in corporate communications.
The complex's launch is slated for the first quarter of 2013. Between September 2012 and the start of 2013, set up and commission operations will be underway, a company representative said.
The holding said in a statement on its website that total investment in the project comes to 64 billion rubles.
It was earlier reported that Tobolsk-Polymer and VEB signed an agreement in June 2010 for a $1.441 billion loan for the construction of a polypropylene production complex with capacity at 500,000 tonnes a year.
LLC Tobolsk-Polymer is a 100% subsidiary of OJSC SIBUR Holding. The company was formed for implementation of the construction of a polypropylene production facility. The facility is being built in direct proximity to LLC Tobolsk-Neftekhim, which is already in operation and also a subsidiary of SIBUR Holding.
