TNT blocks found on Transdniestrian presidential motorcade's route

TIRASPOL. June 19 (Interfax) - Bomb disposal experts from the Delta special unit of the Transdniestrian State Security Committee found an explosive device on the route of a presidential motorcade on Tuesday, before the beginning of a mourning ceremony on the 20th anniversary of the so-called Bender tragedy.

"This group discovered an explosive device made of two TNT blocks weighing a total of 400 grams in the crown of a tree on Yermakov Street, 40 meters away from the Arc of Triumph in Bender, at 8:10 a.m. The blocks did not have detonators. These explosive devices were removed from the place where they had been found and passed to the Delta battalion for disposal," the State Security Committee reported.
