Putin: "I won't take any of G20 leaders along on intelligence mission"
LOS CABOS. June 20 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin, an ex-intelligence officer, joked he does not think "he would take any of the G20 leaders along on an intelligence mission blindfolded," because, he said, the page in his life connected with intelligence has been turned over.
A Russian reporter had asked Putin jokily, whom he would take along on an intelligence mission.
"I have not been doing the intelligence work for a long time now. This page in my life has been turned over. I have different tasks now and I will take them along into the next G20 meeting in St.Petersburg in 2013 [when Russia assumes the G20's rotating presidency]," the Russian president said.
"I heartily invite all to take part in this work," he said.
