NATO eagerly awaiting new Russian ambassador's arrival - NATO official
BRUSSELS. June 22 (Interfax-AVN) - NATO does not comment on national-level appointments, an executive with NATO's headquarters in Brussels told Interfax on Thursday in the wake of a Russian parliamentary committee's approval of Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko's appointment as NATO ambassador.
The NATO official said that the NATO headquarters are informed of the media reports on this decision, but no official confirmation has arrived yet. He also said that NATO is eagerly awaiting the arrival of the new Russian ambassador.
