Gas prices for Ukraine are market prices, no grounds for reviewing them - Gazprom CEO

KYIV. June 27 (Interfax) - Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said his company saw no grounds for reviewing gas prices for Ukraine.

"As of today we see no grounds for reviewing the prices. The prices are absolutely market prices. I can say that prices for Ukraine are considerably lower than for some European countries," Miller told reporters following Russian-Ukrainian talks in Kyiv.

Ukraine has no complaints against Russia over signed gas contracts that are disadvantageous to Ukraine, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said this week.

"It hurts that the price is so high, that we are being punished for something. But our complaints are only against the Ukrainian officials who signed the contract in violation of acting Ukrainian legislation and who inflicted colossal damages on their own country." Azarov said.
