Alexei Savatyugin might leave Finance Ministry - sources

MOSCOW. June 29. (Interfax) - Russian Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Savatyugin might leave the ministry in the near future, several sources on the financial market told Interfax.

According to one of the sources, this might happen in the next few days. Savatyugin, he said, might transfer to another authoritative body. So far, no successor has been named.

"If the resignation does occur, the deputy finance minister post might remain vacant for a month," the source said. "Right now, several candidates are being considered for his place, including people that have never worked at the Finance Ministry," he said.
