Conflict between USC, Defense Ministry settled - USC chief
MOSCOW. June 29 (Interfax) - Following the conclusion of contracts with the Defense Ministry, United Shipbuilding Corporation has no more questions for it, Andrei Dyachkov, the USC's new head, told the press on Friday.
Dyachkov was appointed as USC head by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin earlier on Friday.
"There are no more conflicts between the Defense Ministry and the USC. All contracts have been concluded with the Defense Ministry today. The contracts are being paid for in compliance with the state program which regulates relations between the customers and the manufacturers. No set-backs are to be found here today," Dyachkov said.
The corporation is working on advanced products now, he said. "We need assistance from the Defense Ministry, which is our customer and must provide its understanding of how the Navy should develop further," he said.
He said his mission for the coming three years is to run the USC in a way that would rule out previous situations, when orders would be commissioned "with a rightways shift" and attempts would be made to review prices.
