Senior official killed in Volgograd region

VOLGOGRAD. June 29 (Interfax) - Head of administration of the Svetloyarsk district, Volgograd region, Nikolai Krutov has been shot dead at his office, regional investigators told Interfax.

"A 63-year-old resident of the district, Aslambek Vagapov, has admitted to killing the official. He walked into the boss's office and shot him with a Makarov pistol, then he went to the police and confessed to the crime," a regional investigative official said.
