Russian arms exports topped $6.5 bln in H1 2012 - Putin
SOCHI. July 2 (Interfax) - Russia's arms exports have topped $6.5 billion already this year.
"Russia's arms exports in the first half of 2012 topped $6.5 billion, up 14% compared to the first half of 2011," Putin told the Military-Technical Cooperation Commission.
This positive trend must be maintained, he said.
The annual arms exports have more than doubled over the past seven years, increasing from $6 billion in 2005 to more than $13 billion in 2011," he said.
