U.S. Representatives to meet with United Russia Duma deputies
MOSCOW. July 4 (Interfax) - A delegation from the United States House of Representatives and U.S. Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul are due to meet with United Russia deputies led by faction leader Andrei Vorobyov.
"The meeting will be held at the U.S. initiative," the parliamentary majority's spokesperson told Interfax.
The U.S. delegation is led by the deputy leader of the Republican majority in the House of Representatives, Kevin McCarthy.
The Russian side of the meeting will be represented, apart from Vorobyov, by Deputy Speaker Sergei Zheleznyak, heads of parliamentary committees Alexei Pushkov, Vladimir Pligin, Andrei Makarov and a number of other United Russia deputies. The meeting is due to start at 12:30 p.m.
