Rostelecom appoints Mikhail Magrilov from PwC as VP for strategy
MOSCOW. July 4 (Interfax) - National telecom OJSC Rostelecom has appointed Mikhail Magrilov as its vice-president, the company said in a statement.
He will be responsible for strategic development and raising the company's operational effectiveness.
Born in 1975 in St. Petersburg, Magrilov worked as a credit inspector at Sberbank's Northwest Bank starting from 1999. Between 2000 and 2002, he worked as an auditor of telecoms at Arthur Andersen.
Between 2002 and 2008, Magrilov worked as a consultant to telecoms in Russia and CIS through Ernst & Young and A.T. Kearney. Magrilov became a partner and head of telecom practice at PwC's Russian office.
According to Rostelecom president, Alexander Provotorov, who was quoted in the statement: "Mikhail Magrilov knows the company well and has a rich experience, successfully working with other telecom operators in Russia and abroad."
"His practical project approach to international consulting, rich experience in organizational transformation, programs for boosting revenue and optimizing costs are very valuable for Rostelecom right now, during a time of reorganization," Provotorov said.
