Medvedev urges journalists to give more coverage to Kurils

PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY. July 5 (Interfax) - Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has urged journalists to give more coverage to life in the Kuril Islands.

Medvedev told reporters in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatka that, unfortunately, few journalists covered his visit to the Kurils this time.

"Everything depends on the weather. One had to seize the moment. But when I fly to the islands next time stay near me not to miss the moment," the prime minister said.

Responding to Interfax journalists' proposal to send reporters to the place in advance, so they could be there by his arrival, Medvedev said, "That's a good idea! We will probably do it that way next time."
