Moscow to resume dialogue on missile defense in Washington soon - Serdyukov
KALININGRAD. July 5 (Interfax-AVN) - Chief of the Russian Armed Forces' General Staff Nikolai Makarov will travel to the United States shortly for talks on missile defense, Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov told reporters on Thursday.
"Chief of the General Staff General Nikolai Makarov will pay a visit in the near future. We will make yet another attempt to explain our position on missile defense at least at a chief of staff level," Serdyukov said after meeting with his CIS counterparts in Kaliningrad.
"We will say once again that we won't let it the way it is, that we will retaliate. I think that neither the United Russia, nor Russia will gain from that as it means additional spending and additional costs, which can be avoided," he said.
