It rains again in Krymsk
KRYMSK, Krasnodar territory. July 8 (Interfax) - Rain has resumed in Krymsk, Krasnodar territory, that was hit by the recent flood worst of all, an Interfax correspondent reports.
The cloudy weather on Sunday morning changed to rain which is growing stronger. The rain is accompanied by thunder and strong winds. Local residents and visitors are hiding in a tent camp of the Emergencies' Ministry. Many people are trying to take back inside the belongings they had taken out for drying in the morning.
Appraisal groups have started examining the damaged houses. Patrol teams have left for house-to-house inspections.
Problems remain with cellular communications caused by the flooding of base stations of cellular operators. In some villages cellular phones don't work at all.
The rates of consumer services remain high in the afflicted area.
Due to the high season food and accommodation prices are high. The price of a hotel room in Gelendzhik reaches 9,000 rubles a day.
Food prices have also gone up in Krymsk after the flood even though it is not a resort area.
