Future of Russian-Libyan aircraft contracts uncertain - official

FARNBOROUGH (Britain). July 9 (Interfax-AVN) - The future of a large package of aircraft contracts that was prepared by Russia and Libya under Muammar Gaddafi, remains uncertain, deputy chief of Russia's Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation Vyacheslav Dzirkaln said on Monday.

"The Libyan side would first like to restore the hardware it already has. Consultations are being held. But there is no question of any new supplies so far," he told reporters at the Farnborough air show, when asked if talks on Gaddafi-era contracts would continue.
