Russia, Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia agree to hold children rugby tournament
MOSCOW. July 10 (Interfax) - The rugby federations of Russia, Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia have agreed to hold a children rugby tournament, executive director of the Russian Rugby Federation Oleg Samartsev said.
"We will start to prepare an international rugby tournament for children under 14," Samartsev told a news conference in Moscow on Tuesday.
He noted that the decision on such a tournament has yet to be formalized.
The presentation tournament of the four nations will take place as part of the Rugby 7's World Cup due in 2013 in Moscow, he said. "We have preliminary agreed to hold the next stage in Artek in 2014," he added.
