SOLLERS-Far East ups SUV output 32% in H1

VLADIVOSTOK. July 12. (Interfax) - Vladivostok-based automobile plant LLC SOLLERS-Far East (100% subsidiary of Sollers Group ) boosted production of SsangYong SUVs by 32.3% year-on-year to 14,857 vehicles in January-June 2012, the company told Interfax.

Last year, the enterprise produced 25,100 SUVs, or 83% more than in 2010. The plan for 2012 is 29,300 vehicles.

The plant currently assembles four models of SsangYong SUVs - Kyron (5,814 in H1 2012, up 20.5%), Rexton (829), New Actyon (7,426, up 49.4%) and Actyon Sports (788).

Sollers Group manages the Ulyanovsk Automotive Plant, Zavolzhsky Motor Plant , SOLLERS-Naberezhniye Chelny, SOLLERS-Elabuga and SOLLERS-Far East. Sollers produces UAZ, Isuzu and SsangYong models in Russia.
