Experian to double staff in Russia in 2012

MOSCOW. July 16 (Interfax) - International company Experian, which offers information and analytical services to credit organizations, will double the volume of its staff in Russian in 2012, the head of the Experian office in Russia, Daniel Zelenzky, told Interfax.

Experian plans to develop a large-scale business in Russia, especially in decision analytics (development and introduction of scoring systems and so on). The number of employees working in decision analytics in Russia at the Experian office will double to around 100, he said.

The number of employees working on credit histories, through the United Credit Bureau, will also double to around 50 staff, he said. United Credit Bureau plans to invest millions of dollars to develop technology, he said earlier. Zelensky also said Experian is currently looking at offering marketing services.

The United Credit Bureau was established on the basis of the Experian-Interfax bureau, to which Sberbank bureau Infocredit was merged. All Infocredit credit histories were transferred to the United Credit Bureau. Sberbank obtained 50% of the new bureau, Experian and Interfax each got 25%.

The Financial Times cited Experian Chief Executive Don Robert as saying Friday that Experian plans to transfer personnel from European economies, where slower economic growth is being observed and where demand for such services is limited due to financial problems, to faster growing economics, such as Russia and Turkey.
