Russia ready to provide aid to Syrian refugees
MOSCOW. July 16 (Interfax) - Russia plans to discuss the problem of Syrian refugees with Turkey.
"It is easy to understand that Syrian refugees draw the greatest interest, including for political reasons. I know that the UN Office for Refugees is ready to provide all necessary assistance and has ample capabilities to do that," Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at a news conference in Moscow on Monday.
"Our Turkish friends told us responding to our earlier offer of assistance, that they are coping so far. If such a need arises we, I am sure, will manage to provide such assistance and we hope to discuss all of these issues with the Turkish leadership soon," Lavrov said.
