Yuzhkuzbassugol's Uskovskaya mine launches new 1.8 mln tonne mine face
KEMEROVO. July 16 (Interfax) - Yuzhkuzbassugol United Coal Company, a division of the Evraz steel and mining group, has launched a new mine face at its Uskovskaya deep mine, Evraz said.
Uskovskaya is the new name for the Yubileinaya mine.
The new face 50-17 has reserves of 1.8 million tonnes of valuable GZh grade coking coal, which is supplied to Evraz plc steel plants. The face will be producing an average of 160,000 tonnes of coal per month.
The face is outfitted with a mechanized complex that cost 1.246 billion rubles, including a powered support system from China's ZMJ, a shearer-loader from the UK's Joy Mining Machinery, a conveyer from Poland's Rybnik, a Grot scraper feeder, a crusher from Poland's Scorpion. The face is also outfitted with oil stations from Germany's Kamat and electronic equipment from Czech firm Hansen Electric. This is the first time that a mine support system and oil stations have been used in the conditions of the Uskovskaya mine.
