Nissan's St. Petersburg plant boosts net profit in 2011
ST. PETERSBURG. July 24 (Interfax) - LLC Nissan Manufacturing Rus, the Russian Nissan plant in St. Petersburg, saw net profit surge 960% year-on-year in 2011 to 2.34 billion rubles, the SPARK database shows.
Revenue grew 360% to 92.07 billion rubles. Sales profit jumped 1670% to 2.93 billion and pretax profit increased 900% to 2.86 billion rubles.
The Nissan plant in St. Petersburg opened on June 2 2009. It is currently producing the Teana, X-Trail and Murano cars and in April it began SKD production of the Infiniti FX and Infiniti M. The plant plans to produce 50,000 cars in 2012.
