Possible Rosneft-BP deal to buy TNK-BP stake requires govt approval - Belousov

GORKY. July 24. (Interfax) - Rosneft's possible purchase of BP's stake in TNK-BP requires Russian government approval, Economic Development Minister Andrei Belousov told journalists.

"The possible deal between Rosneft and BP certainly falls [under government review], although Rosneft is a non-state company - it doesn't belong to the government. It formally belongs to Rosneftegaz," he said.
