Fire situation in regions "not normal," aircraft will be called in - Medvedev
MOSCOW. July 27 (Interfax) - The fire situation remains abnormal, said Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, adding that he is going to hold a meeting on aircraft and additional technical capabilities.
"Although the situation is under control, it is not normal, it is abnormal. So all services must work in a coordinated fashion," Medvedev said at a meeting on the fire situations in the regions which experienced unusually high temperatures this year.
At the meeting Tomsk region governor Sergei Zhvachkin asked the prime minister to discuss ideas and proposals based on seasonal results.
"As regards flights and additional technical capabilities, we are of course planning this sort of meeting, and I will tell you who will be attending," Medvedev said.
