MOSCOW. July 28 (Interfax-AVN) - A MiG-29KUB fighter, one of those Russia has built for India, made the first ever landing on the deck of the Vikramaditya aircraft carrier, formerly known as the Admiral Gorshkov, on Saturday.

"A crew comprising Hero of Russia Col. Nikolai Diorditsa, an honored test pilot, and MiG corporation's test pilot Mikhail Belyayev successfully landed on the deck of the Admiral Gorshkov aircraft carrier," a source from Russia's defense industry told Interfax-AVN.

The pilots earlier performed several approaches at different altitudes, touching the ship's deck, he said.
