Russian Eurobonds gain on Friday thanks to "appetite for risk", spread narrows

MOSCOW. Aug 3 (Interfax) - Quotations for Russian Eurobonds on Friday renewed their gains on Friday and hit historic heights thanks to continuing appetite for risk on the part of investors. In turn, US Treasuries decreased for the day. As a result, spread on yields for base assets narrowed considerably.

By 5:25 pm Moscow time, Russia-30 had increased by 70 basis points to 125.95% with yield at 2.97%, down from 3.07% on August 2.

In turn, benchmark UST-10 had decreased by 59 basis points to 101.84% with yield at 1.55%, up from 1.48% on Thursday.

Therefore, spread on yields for Russia-30 and Treasuries narrowed by 17 basis points to 142 basis points.
