Dollar flat, euro down on MICEX Weds

MOSCOW. Aug 8 (Interfax) - The U.S. was virtually unchanged relative to the ruble as the MICEX closed on Wednesday, though the euro slid appreciably as it lost ground on the Forex market, and the bicurrency basket ($0.55 and EUR 0.45) ended the day down ten kopecks at 34.92 rubles amid high world oil prices.

The dollar closed down just four kopecks from Tuesday close at 31.555 rubles/$1 on the MICEX, and the euro lost 18.38 kopecks to 39.0275 rubles/EUR1.
