Ilim Group slightly increases pulp and paper production in H1
ST. PETERSBURG. Aug 13 (Interfax) - The Ilim Group produced 1.275 million tonnes of pulp and paper in January-June 2012, which is just above the production results for the same period of 2011, the group said in a statement.
Production of pulp went up by 2% to 815,000 tonnes while production of commercial container board went down by 6% to 342,000 tonnes. Total production of paper went up by 10% year-on-year to 118,000 tonnes.
Ilim Group completed its reorganization at the beginning of July 2007. It was set up with Ilim Pulp assets by means of transitioning to a single stock OJSC Kotlassky Pulp and Paper Co. , OJSC Cellulose-Cardboard Combine, OJSC Bratskkomplekskholding, and OJSC PO Ust-Ilimsk Timber Industry Co., and joining them to Ilim Group.
The complexes were reformed into company branches located in Koryazhma, Bratsk, and Ust-Ilimsk. The group's main offices are located in St. Petersburg.
