UN observer mission in Syria must not be curtailed - Russian Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW. Aug 15 (Interfax) - Russia wants UN observers to continue working in Syria.

"We favor the UN mission's further work in Syria," the Russian Foreign Ministry's information department told Interfax. "We are convinced that the UN presence, as an important source of first-hand objective information, must not be curtailed," it said.
