Khrunichev Space Center's Nesterov could be replaced by one of his deputies
MOSCOW. Aug 15 (Interfax-AVN) - Khrunichev Space Center's General Director, Vladimir Nesterov, is most likely to be replaced by one of his deputies, a source from the space industry told Interfax-AVN.
"A few months ago Roscosmos (the Russian Federal Space Agency) published a list of candidates for inclusion in the staff reserve to replace executives and general design engineers in the space industry. The list is open. It names those who were preparing and are now ready to take up the post of General Director at Khrunichev Space Center," the source said.
Candidates for the job include current deputy general directors Sergei Anisimov (born 1970), Vasily Sychyov (born 1959), Alexander Selivyorstov (born 1960) and Vladimir Petrik (born 1958). The company's chief design engineer Yury Zavora (born 1963) and head of the design bureau section Igor Partola (born 1965) are also among likely candidates.
Sychyov and Selivyorstov have the greatest chances, the source said.
