Secretary general doubts CSTO composition will change soon

MINSK. Aug 16 (Interfax) - The composition of the Collective Security Treaty Organization is unlikely to change within the next few years, CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha said.

"I do not think that it [CSTO composition] will change," he told journalists in Minsk on Thursday.

"The presidents of CSTO member states are convinced that countries that do not just declare but are actually committed to CSTO principles should be admitted to the organization," Bordyuzha said.

The CSTO has been cooperating in security issues with member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, he said.
