Rosneft ups free oil sales in Russia 29% in Q2

MOSCOW. Aug 16 (Interfax) - Total free oil sales by Russian oil company Rosneft with deliveries to oil refineries in Russia - YANOS, the Ufa refinery group, Ryazan oil refining complex, OrskNOS, Mari Oil Refinery, and Makhachkala Oil Refinery - amounted to 2.8 million tonnes of oil in the second quarter, 29% more year-on-year and 12% more than in Q1 this year.

A company report says that of that amount 2.6 million tonnes were supplied under a scheme of mutual-exchange operations.

Domestic-market oil product sales out of Rosneft resources amounted to 6.068 million tonnes in Q2, of which 4.02 million tonnes went through oil-product supply subsidiaries. Compared with the same quarter of last year, oil product sales volume on the home market was down more than 16%. Oil product production volume for the quarter weighed in at 11.11 million tonnes compared with 12.15 million tonnes in Q1.

There was 379,200 tonnes of oil products sold via the St. Petersburg International Commodity and Raw Material Exchange (SPBMTSB) during the quarter, which was 6.25% of all the oil product sold on the domestic market, or 3.4% of total sales volume.

Earlier, the government recommended that oil companies organize sales on the exchange of at least 15% of the oil product produced.

Rosneft sold 437,000 tonnes of aviation fuel in Q2, 39% more quarter-on-quarter, and of which 98.2% (429,000 tonnes) was sold at home. Of the total fuel volume, 227,000 tonnes went to fueling companies and airlines, 151,000 tonnes to the Defense, Emergency Situations, and Interior Ministries, the FSB, and Rosreserv, and 51,000 tonnes to other consumers. Export sales were effected by Angara Petrochemical Company to Mongolia (7,900 tonnes).

Rosneft's net share in processing capacity at German oil refineries Ruhr Oel (Rosneft stake - 50%) amounts to 11.6 million tonnes per year. In Q2, Ruhr Oel GmbH refined 2.854 million tonnes of crude in the company's share.
