Kazanorgsintez plans to put company head on board to replace former general director
KAZAN. Aug 17 (Interfax) - The board of directors at OJSC Kazanorgsintez has called an extraordinary shareholder meeting for November 2, the company said in a statement.
The meeting's agenda includes the reelection of members of the board and the audit committee.
The shareholder register for taking part in the meeting closed on August 16.
The company told Interfax that the board of directors plans to elect the general director of Kazanorgsintez, Farid Minigulov, to the board and remove former company head Leonid Alekhin who started working as the head of OJSC TANEKO in June of this year.
Kazanorgsintez is one of the leading producers of polyethylene and polyethylene pipe in Russia. The company produces over 170 types of chemical production. Telecom Management (a 100% owned subsidiary of OJSC TAIF) owns the controlling packet in Kazanorgsintez) while Svyazinvestneftekhim (owned by the government of Tatarstan) holds 26.6%.
