Russia, Ukraine to resume talks on NITKA naval aviation training complex
KYIV. Aug 20 (Interfax) - Russia and Ukraine will resume negotiations on the long-term lease of the Ukrainian NITKA naval aviation training complex, Russian Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov said after the fifth meeting of the Russian-Ukrainian Interstate Commission's Security Sub-Committee on Monday.
"The Sub-Committee signed an intergovernmental protocol on the Ukrainian NITKA training range use by the Russian Defense Ministry," he said.
"The document will upgrade the mechanism of Russian use of the training complex and continue the training of Russian naval pilots," the minister said.
