Su-30MKI fighter jet deal with India should be signed before year-end - Russian official
MOSCOW. Aug 21 (Interfax-AVN) - The finishing touches are being put on a contract on the delivery of an extra 42 Sukhoi Su-30MKI multirole fighter jets to India.
"The contract is ready and has almost been agreed upon with the Indian side. It is currently undergoing procedures within the Indian Defense Ministry. We hope that it will be signed before the end of the year," Vyacheslav Dzirkaln, deputy director of the Russian Federal Service for Military-Technological Cooperation, told Interfax-AVN.
India's decision to acquire more Su-30MKI fighter jets confirms the reliability and high quality of Russian military hardware, he said.
