Sual says Rusal decision to close some smelting capacity misguided
MOSCOW. Aug 27. (Interfax) - Sual Partners, which owns 15.8% of the shares in UC Rusal, thinks the aluminum giant's decision to shut a number of smelters down was misguided.
Sual said in a statement that it voted against a management-proposed program to cut capacity at four smelters at an August 24 board meeting.
Carrying the program out in its current form would have negative socioeconomic consequences, Sual said.
