MTS posts Q2 net loss of $682 mln with write-offs, net profit down 2.6% without

MOSCOW. Aug 28 (Interfax) - Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) saw its consolidated net losses to US GAAP fall 2.6% year-on-year in Q2 2012 to $357.5 million from $367 million, the telco said in a report, quoting a figure that does not include impairment charges.

Net losses were $682 million, adjusted for a $1.08 billion write-off for the impairment of assets in Uzbekistan.
